Healthcare Training Systems has developed its own proprietary software, structured specifically towards product and service applications in the healthcare industry. We divide interactive multimedia into four levels of complexity: customized linear presentation; instructor-led, nonlinear presentation; facilitator-led training; and self-paced training.
- Level 1, customized linear presentation is similar to a PowerPoint slide show, with almost no interactivity, forward-and-backward navigation, and no chance for upgrading the system.
- Level 2, nonlinear presentation is similar to a Level 1 presentation. However, it uses interactive worksheets, provides multidimensional navigation, and is upgradeable.
- Level 3, facilitator-led presentation is more interactive and more like a true stand-alone training system. It provides audio, job-oriented software tools, and full multidimensional navigation.
- Level 4, self-paced training system is stand-alone. It provides just-in-time training and electronic tools and job aids.
